Born from:
Vele di Carta by Scritture di Lago is a literary travel project on the Italian Lakes, telling the story of these places through literature, landscape, memory, art, encounters and narrative journeys.
It grows out of the experience of Scritture di Lago, the literary prize devoted to lake literature, and naturally extends its mission: turning the stories, books and imagination of the lakes into cultural experiences that create knowledge, connections and value for the local area.
Vele di Carta is neither a tour operator nor a travel agency. It is a cultural lab that designs content, formats and itineraries, working alongside agencies, tour operators, guides, institutions, festivals and local organisations.

Vele di Carta was born within the cultural horizon of Scritture di Lagothe prize that promotes literature inspired by lakes and waterscapes.
If Scritture di Lago gathers, rewards and shares the stories of the lakes, Vele di Carta takes those stories to the places themselves, turning them into journeys, experiences, encounters and opportunities for discovery.
It is the natural step from page to landscape, from book to place, from storytelling to connection.
